When MT2 is Negative  and g is positive

In this  case  gate  current  flows  through  junctions P2N2  electrons  are injected from  N2  layer to  P2  a result  junctions N1P1which  is  reverse biased breaks down and  triac  starts conduction  through P1N1P1N4 layer.
