Assignment Help:

If 3x2 is multiplied by the quantity 2x3y raised to the fourth power, what would this expression simplify to?

The statement in the question would translate to 3x2(2x3y)4. The word quantity reminds you to put that element of the expression in parentheses. Evaluate the exponent through multiplying each number or variable inside the parentheses through the exponent outside the parentheses:  3x2(24x3×4y4); simplify: 3x2(16x12y4). Multiply the coefficients and add the exponents of such as variables: 3(16x2+12y4); simplify: 48x14y4.
