What is Vegetarianism?

Protein quality of the vegetarian diets can be improved by proper diet planning, However, under free-living conditions, vegetarianism can limit protein intake of good biological value, iron, BIZ, calcium and zinc intake. Vitamin D can be met by sunlight exposure. Vegetarianism per se leads to bulky diets. Special care and meal planning is needed to meet the needs of these nutrients adequately.
