What is Vacuole ?
Another structure found only in plant cells is the large central vacuole. The vacuole stores enzymes and waste products, in addition to providing the turgor pressure that allows plants to maintain their upright stature.
Sometimes the central vacuole of a plant cell can take up over 90% of the volume of the cell. In many large plant cells, the cytoplasm is a thin layer adjacent to the cell wall, because the rest of the contents of the cell, including the nucleus and other organelles, are forced to the perimeter by the vacuole. Fluid in the vacuole is in constant motion, circulating both nutrients and wastes.
