What is tubal pregnancy?
Many times fecundation takes place in the Fallopian tubes. Usually the newly formed zygote is taken to the uterus where nidation and the embryonic development happen. In some cases though the zygote cannot go down to the uterus and the embryo implants itself in the uterine tube tissue, characterizing the tubal pregnancy. Tubal pregnancy is a severe clinical condition as often the tube ruptures during gestation causing hemorrhage and even death of the woman.
