What is thermal neutrons, Physics

Assignment Help:

Fast neutrons can be changed into slow neutrons by certain materials known as moderator's  when last moving neutrons pass by a moderator, they combine with the molecules of the moderator, as a answer of this, the energy of moving neutron reduces while that of the molecules of the moderator enhances. After sometime they both have same power. The neutrons are then in thermal state equilibrium with the molecules of the moderator and are known as thermal neutrons.
