What is the stage of cellular respiration during which carbon dioxide is liberated?

In aerobic cellular respiration the release of carbon dioxide occurs in the transformation of pyruvic acid into acetyl-CoA (two molecules) and in the Krebs cycle (four molecules). For every glucose molecule, six carbon dioxide molecules are made.
