Josephine is on an 1,800 calorie per day diet. She tries to remain her intake of fat to no more than 30% of her overall calories. Based on an 1,800 calorie a day diet, what is the maximum number of calories which Josephine should consume from fats per day to stay within her goal?

Find out 30% of 1,800 by multiplying through the decimal equivalent of 30% (0.30); 1,800 × 0.30 = 540. The maximum number of calories from fats per day is 540.
