What is the advantage of dividing an email address into two parts?
The division of an e-mail address in two parts is significant since it achieve two objectives. First, the division permits each computer system to allocate mailbox identifiers independently. And second, the division allows the user on arbitrary computer systems to exchange e-mail messages. E-mail software on the sender's computer utilizes the second part to find out which computer to contact as well as the e-mail software on the recipient computer utilizes the first part of the address to choose a particular mailbox in that message must be placed.
