What is splicing?
Splicing:
Two optical fibers utilized for communication are joined with a process termed as Splicing. This must be done very carefully that is the splicing process does not introduce additional losses. Two methods in splicing are there:
In the first process, the two ends of the fibers are fused. Within the second method, the two ends are aligned and bonded together by using an adhesive.
Inertia: the resistance an object has to a alter in its state of motion. Newton's first law of motion declares that force is NOT required to keep an object in motion. Slide
Explain about the double-crucible method. Low loss fibers are mostly manufactured by using double crucible and vapour phase deposition method. The double-crucible method is

Q. What do you mean by lateral shift? and What could be the angle of incidence to have maximum lateral shift? Q. For what angle, lateral shift is minimum?
Define isothermal process For isothermal process temperature remains constant i.e. Δu = 0. Thus according to first law of thermodynamics ΔQ =Δw Heat supplied to the syste
Distinguish among, analog and digital communication. Write any two modulation methods employed for the digital data. Explain briefly one of the techniques used.
As shown in the figure below, a bubble of gas with a volume of 1.20 cm3 is released under water. As it rises to the surface, the temperature of the bubble enhances from 27°C to
Two parallel plates having a p.d. of 250V between them are spaced 1mm apart. Determine the electric field strength. Find also the electric flux density when the dielectric a
What are links and symbolic links in UNIX file system? A link is a second name (not a file) for a file. Links can be used to allocate more than one name to a file, but cannot
