What is splicing?
Splicing:
Two optical fibers utilized for communication are joined with a process termed as Splicing. This must be done very carefully that is the splicing process does not introduce additional losses. Two methods in splicing are there:
In the first process, the two ends of the fibers are fused. Within the second method, the two ends are aligned and bonded together by using an adhesive.
