What is SISD?
Single Instruction stream, Single Data stream (SISD) shows the organization of a single computer having a control unit, a processor unit, and a memory unit. Instructions are implemented sequentially and the system may or might not have internal parallel processing capabilities.
It is desirable that operating speed of primary storage of a computer system be as fast as possible since most of the data transfer to and from processing unit is via main memory.
