What is serialization and where it is used, Database Management System

Assignment Help:

What is serialization? Where it is used and why?

Serialization is a basic term used for mechanisms which enable objects and object structures to be converted into portable form, removing volatility created by the object addresses.  Serialization provides the convenient and straightforward way of making the data persistent. It is mainly appropriate when amount of data involved is relatively small. If larger amounts of data have to be stored, serialization might no longer be appropriate.
