Q. What is Rail Lubrication?

Rail Lubrication is done on sharp curves where lateral wear is considerable. The function of Rail Lubrication is to lubricate or oil the running face of the outer rail so that friction is reduced. It has been noticed that wear gets considerably reduced by this the amount of reduction being some times as much as 50%.
