Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) refers to providing fluids and/or oral rehydration salt solutions to the patient. An oral rehydration solution can easily be prepared at home by taking a teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoon of sugar with or without lemon juice mixed in a liter of potable water.
