What is non-folded network, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Q. What is Non-Folded Network?

Non-Folded Network: In a switching network, all outlet/inlet connection may be used for inter exchange transmission. In such a case, exchange doesn't support local subscribers and is known as a transit exchange. A switching network of this kind is displayed in figure and is known as a non-folded network. In non-folded network with N inlets and N outlets, N simultaneous information transfers are possible. Therefore for a non-folded network to be non-blocking, network must support N simultaneous switching paths.
