What is Groupware

Groupware are a collection of software tools that encompass a broad range of applications. Even though groupware broadly consists of applications like calendars, project planning, sharing documents, emails, etc., it is many times costlier than the Intranet, e.g., a Lotus Notes application can cost over 8000000$ for a big group whereas for the same group corporate Intranet could be easily served with about 800000$.
