What is drugs?
Intravenous access must be established. Although administration of drugs through a central vein is ideal in a low cardiac output situation, it is rarely possible to insert one in an emergency with CPR going on. All intravenous drugs given through a peripheral IV should be flushed with 20 mls of normal saline to ensure delivery into the central circulation.
