What is Diplomatic immunity

Diplomatic immunity relates to the protection of the representatives of another state to ensure that they perform their international political functions without any fear of persecution or prosecution. Diplomats are immune from the domestic laws of the host country, meaning, they are not immune from the domestic laws rather the enforcement of the domestic laws against them.
