Q. What is counselling for diabetic patient?

The word counselling has been understood in a number of ways.

Counselling can be understood as "consultation, mutual interchange of opinions and discussing together".

1) Counselling is the relationship between two persons, in which one of them tries to assist the other, to find a solution to a problem.

2) Counselling is helping a person to come to know about oneself.

3) It is an accepting, trusting and safe relationship in which clients learn to discuss freely what worries and upsets them and develop courage and self confidence to implement desired new behaviour.
