What is cmm and cmmi, Software Engineering

Assignment Help:

CMM = 'Capability Maturity Model', now known as the CMMI ('Capability Maturity Model Integration'), developed by the SEI. It's a model of five levels of process 'maturity' that verify effectiveness in delivering quality software. It is geared to big organizations like large U.S. Defense Department contractors. Though, many of the QA processes involved are appropriate to any organization, and if reasonably applied can be helpful. Organizations can be given CMMI ratings by undergoing assessments by capable auditors.
