What is Acoustic Holography?

Acoustic holography is a technique used to evaluate the sound field near a source through measuring acoustic parameters ahead of the source through an array of pressure and/or particle velocity transducers. Measuring techniques involved into acoustic holography are becoming gradually more popular into various fields, most particularly those of transportation, aircraft and vehicle design and NVH. The common idea of acoustic holography has led to various versions as like near-field acoustic holography (NAH) and statistically optimal near-field acoustic holography (SONAH). The wave field synthesis is the most associated procedure for audio rendition.
