Q. Illustrate what does hull speed mean?
Answer:-
Hull speed- It is the theoretical limit of a sail craft's speed. It is able to be approximated by the following formula
1.34 * SQRT (LWL), where LWL is the length of the waterline in feet.
As a little vessel approaches its hull speed the hull begins to climb its own bow wave. The earlier the vessel tries to go the further difficult climbing the bow wave becomes. Ultimately should the hull type permit it the hull will begin to hydroplane skimming across the water.
Viscosity in fluids is the analog of friction in solids. Both are methods by which the kinetic energy of moving bodies can be changed into thermal power. In the absence of friction
Can a solid and liquid together be possible? Actually, substances can exist in all three states of matter concurrently if the conditions are right. The triple point of a substa
Light with a wavelength of 454.5 nm passes by two slits that are 95.2 cm from a screen. The distance among the centers of the central band and the first-order band is 15.2 mm.
Two light rays will interfere constructively with maximum amplitude if the path difference between them is: a) one wavelength b) one-half wavelength c) one-qua
Q State Joule's law of heating? The heat produced in a conductor is (i) Unswervingly proportional to the square of the current for a given R (ii) Unswervingly proportiona
Q. Describe the isotopes? Answer:- An atom of an element that has a diverse number of neutrons in its nucleus to other atoms of the element.
An isotope of iodine (Z = 53) is used to treat thyroid conditions. Its mass number is 131. How many neutrons are in its nucleus? 131 - 53 = 78 neutrons
