Q. What do you mean by Most and least significant digits?

The MSD (most significant digit) in a number is the digit which represents the largest part of the number. Therefore in the number 59382 the MSD is 5.

Similarly the LSD (least significant digit) is the digit which represents the smallest part of the number. Yet again, in 59382 the LSD is the 2.
