What do you mean by memory mapped I/O?

In Memory mapped I/O, there is no particular input or output instructions. The CPU can manipulate I/O data residing in interface registers with the similar instructions that are used to manipulate memory words i.e. the similar set of instructions are used for reading and writing memory can be used to input and output.
