The Butchering Department of the Santa Fe Meat Packing Corporation (a process costing corporation, FIFO costing) had 1,500 units, 1/3 completed at the beginning of the period and 10,000 units were transferred to the Packaging Department from the Butchering Department during the period. At the end of the period, 1,800 units in the Butchering Department were 1/2 completed.
