E-banking systems rely upon a number of common elements or processes. The given list comprises many of the potential elements and processes seen into a classical institution:

a. Website design and hosting,

b. Firewall configuration and management,

c. Intrusion detection system or IDS (network and host-based),

d. Network administration,

e. Security management,

f. Internet banking server,

g. E-commerce applications (for illustration bill payment, brokerage and lending),

h. Internal network servers

i. Core processing system

j. Programming support and

k. Automated decision support systems.

Such tools work together to deliver e-banking services. All tools represent a control point to consider.
