- Teeth 32 Permanent and

- Tongue

 Pharynx

 Oesophagus

 Stomach

 Small Intestine (6 meters or 20 feet long)

- Duodenum

- Jejunum

- Ileum

 Large intestine (1.5 meters or 5 feet long)

- Caecum

- Ascending Colon

- Transverse Colon

- Descending Colon

- Pelvic or Sigmoid Colon

- Rectum and Anus

 Additional organs of Digestion

- Salivary Glands : 3 pairs present in saliva.

- Liver : stores glycogen, breakdown of protein, production of plasma protein, desaturation of fats.

- Pancreas : secrete insulin from islets of langerhans. Insulin helps the tissues to use sugar for energy.
