What are the constituent elements of the blood?

The blood is made of a liquid and a cellular part. The fluid part is known as plasma and in it there are several substances, such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and mineral salts. The cellular constituents of the blood are also called as blood corpuscles and they comprise the erythrocytes (red blood cells), platelets and leukocytes.
