What are the applications of Heterojunction Laser?
Applications of Heterojunction laser:
a. Into consumer electronics, semiconductor lasers are utilized in VCD/CD /DVD players to read the data onto compact disks and CD-ROMs.
b. The power and tuning range properties these lasers makes this ideal for detection of gases and vapors into a smokestack.
c. This has been proved to be a capable emitter for fiber data communication into the speed range of 100Mbps to 1Gbps.
d. Medical lasers are used due to their ability to produce thermal, physical, mechanical and welding effects while exposed to tissues. Several of the applications of lasers consist of stone removal (laser lithotripsy), activation of exact drugs or molecules and denaturizing of tissues and cells into body.
