What are the advantages of Yoga

Yoga has been derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj which means union. It is popular since ancient times. It is also one of the means to maintain fitness, health and wellness. It has become popular all over the world. The different types of yogic practices are asana, pranayamas, banthas, shudhi kriyas and mudras etc. The regular practices of vajrasana, hal asana, mayurasana etc are beneficial for improving strength. Chakrasana, dhanurasana, bhujangasana, shala-bhasana and hal asana improves flexibility. The asanas help in strengthening of cartilages and ligaments. Through these yogic practices a diabetic patient can maintain the blood sugar level, blood pressure level and maintain weight. Practice yoga under the guidance of a expert in yoga.
