Advantages of process mapping are as follows:
a. It can be used for structured ‘walk by testing to confirm knowing of workflow, compliance to regulations and information flow.
b. They can be utilized to set up prototype designs for latest processes to add value to business processes as an example of shorten lead times, raises efficiency or minimise waste.
c. Simpler to ensure logic and understanding as an example of visual communication.
d. Step-by-step flow without being overwhelmed through the bigger picture.
