The scope of implantology has widened to include many more clinical situations which would be hitherto contraindicated for implants due to limited bone at the implant site with the help of advanced surgical procedures. The adaptation of bone grafting techniques from routine Periodontal and Oral Surgical procedures to Implantology has increased he repertoire of the operator to provide implant based tooth replacement solutions to patients. However, these techniques require additional training and are being demonstrated to you only to increase awareness and to stimulate you to undertake advanced training.
