What are some factors that can lead to protein denaturation?

Protein denaturation can be caused by temperature variation, pH change, alters in the concentration of surrounding solutes and by other processes. Most proteins denature after certain elevation of temperature or when in very acid or very essential solutions. This is one of the main reasons that it is essential for the organisms to keep stable temperature and pH.
