What are RDRAM?
RDRAM are Rambus DRAM. Rambus needs specially designed memory chips. These chips use cell arrays based on the standard DRAM technology. Multiple banks of cell arrays are used to access more than one word at time. Circuitry needed to interface to the Rambus channel is contained on the chip. Such chips are known as RDRAM.
