Weaning  and Definition

A systematic  arrangement of classified  data in labelled columns and  rows  is  known  a statistical table.

Turtle has given  a comprehensive definition of statistical table as, a statistical table  is the  logical listing of related quantitative data in vertical columns  and horizontal rows  of numbers with sufficient  explanatory and qualifying  words phrases and statements in the  form  of titles heading and  notes  to make  clear the full  meaning  of the  data  and their  origin.

According to H Secrist tables are a means of  recording  in permanent form the  analysis  that is  made  through  classification and  of placing in  Juxta position  things that  are similar  and should be compared.
