Because non-verbal cues can mean more than spoken words and speak louder than spoken words, mastering non-verbal communication skills at work represents a challenge (Guffey's, 2007).

(a) Using examples differentiate between verbal and non-verbal communication at work.

(b) According to the author, the eyes, the face and the body send silent messages. If you were a communication trainer, name and elaborate on any five advice you would have given to your employees to improve their non-verbal communication skills.

(c) If you were the communication trainer of a transnational company, anticipate and discuss five different obstacles in the process of communication with employees of diverse cultures.

(d) In an attempt to overcome the above mentioned barriers, propose any five solutions to your CEO and give reasons why they help communication to be more effective.
