Explain the utility and purpose of display processor in the graphic system. The purpose of the display processor is to free the CPU from the graphics chores. A major task of the display processor is digitizing a picture definition given in an application program into a set of pixel intensity values for storage in the frame buffer. The digitization process is called scan conversion. Display processor also perform a number of additional operations, such as generating various line styles (dashed, dotted, or solid), displaying color areas, and performing certain transformations and manipulations on displayed objects.
