Uses of Acetic Acid - Carboxylic acids

(a) Acetic Acid is used as a solvent and a laboratory reagent.

(b) Acetic Acid is used as vinegar for table purpose and for manufacturing pickles.

(c) Acetic Acid is used in coagulation of rubber latex.

(d) Acetic Acid is used for making various organic compounds like acetone, acetic anhydride, acetyl chloride, acetamide and esters.

(e) Acetic Acid is utilized for making various useful metallic acetates.
