Typicality of virtual addresses, Computer Engineering

The typicality of virtual addresses is that:

  • They are longer than physical addresses because total addressed memory in virtual memory is more than actual physical memory.
  • If a virtual addressed operand isn't in memory then operating system brings that specifcoperand to memory.

Symbols D, D1, D2,..., etc. refer to actual operands to be used by instructions for their execution.
