Epithelial and connective tissues have the greatest capacity to regenerate. In injuries andsmall wounds, epithelial and connective tissues generally heal with normal tissue. Ability of muscle tissue to regenerate is very limited. Fibrous connective tissue generally replaces damaged muscle tissue.
