For fixed-position manual processes such as the assembly of small devices, this type of chart is often used.

Multiple-activity charts 

This type of chart is used to record the simultaneous activities of people and/or equipment in performing an operation, set against a common timescale. The example in this figure below (adapted from ILO, 1992) shows the activities entailed in a plant maintenance task.
