Explain the Tissue Synthesis for Wound Healing in Nutritional Care?

Tissue proteins are synthesized only by amino acids brought to the tissues by circulating blood. The necessary amino acids are provided either by ingested proteins or intravenous feeding. Concentrated liquid diets or commercial formulas may be used to overcome a poor appetite. The protein intake should be slowly increased according to the patients' tolerance.
