Throttle Free Play Adjustmen: A smooth operation of the throttle ensures proper acceleration of the vehicle according to the requirement of the rider. If the throttle cable is kinked, chafed or improperly routed, it should be replaced or re-routed.

STEPS

  • Throttle free play is checked by rotating the throttle grip. It should be between 2-6 mm.
  • If required the lock nut is loosen and the throttle adjusting nut is moved clockwise or anticlockwise to increase or decrease the free play.
  • Check the throttle cable for correct routing.
  • If throttle cable is damaged it should be replaced.

Important points to remember :

  • Throttle free play must be between 2-6 mm.
