The Logical DBMS Architecture
Database Management Systems are very difficult, sophisticated software applications that give reliable management of huge amounts of data. To explain general database concepts and the structure and capabilities of a DBMS better, the structural design of a typical database management system should be studied.
There are two dissimilar ways to look at the architecture of a DBMS: the physical DBMS architecture and the logical DBMS architecture. The physical architecture is deals with the software components that create up a DBMS while the logical architecture deals with the way data is stored and presented to users.
