Differentiate between structured analysis and structured design.
The aim of structured analysis is to transform the textual explanation of a problem into a graphic model. During structured analysis, functional decomposition of the system takes place, i.e. every function that the system performs is analyzed and hierarchically decomposed into more detailed functions. On the other hand, during structured analysis all functions identified during structured analysis are mapped to a module structure. This module structures are also known as software architecture for the given problem and it can be directly executed using a conventional programming language. The purpose of structured analysis is to capture the detailed structure of the system as perceived by the user, while the purpose of structured design is to explain the structure of the solution that is suitable for execution in some programming language.
What is meant by software prototyping? Software prototyping is a process of creating a model for the software product. This is developed based on the currently known requiremen
Justify the term "Software is engineered"?
Importance of function point: This is independent of the languages tools, or methodology used for execution. They can be estimated from requirement specification or desig
What is Quality assurance and standards? Standards are the key to efficient quality management. They may be international, national, and organizational or project standards.
What is meant by Information flow Continuity? When we refine a fundamental model for a system, the information flow continuity must be maintained .ie, input & output to every r
What is software testing? The testing process focuses on the logical internals of the software, ensuring that all statements have been tested, and on the functional externals,
Partitioning:- Problems are often too large and difficult to be understood as a whole. For this reason, we tend to partition such difficulties into parts that can be easily unders
What is Data Binding? The matrix that attempts to capture the module-level concept of coupling is data binding. Data binding are a calculate that captures the data interacti
What is bottom-up approach? System developed starting from detailed modules. Testing begins from the detailed modules and proceeds up to the higher levels of hierarchy.
Discuss about Throw-away prototyping Objective: The principal aims of this model is to validate or to gain the system requirements. It is developed to minimise requi
