Storage capacity and Cost per bit of storage:

Storage capacity:  It is the amount of data that can be stored in the storage unit. A large capacity is preferred. 

Cost per bit of storage:  It is the cost of a storage unit for a given storage capacity. Low cost per bit of storage is always preferred. The final goal is to minimize this cost.
