Engine Oil Replacement and top up steps

• The engine oil should be changed only when motorcycle has run through the prescribed kilometers.

• Change the engine oil every 4000 kms if it is 4 T Plus oil.

• Change the engine oil every 2000 kms if it is not a 4T Plus oil.

• If the engine oil change is not due then also an inspection is made by the dipstick.

• The area near the dipstick is cleaned with a cloth.

• Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.

• Put the dipstick in the engine again.

• Take care that when the dipstick is put in the engine to inspect oil level, it should not be tightened (screwed).

• Remove the dipstick for inspection. The engine oil should be visible between the upper and lower level marks.

• If required the engine oil should be topped up with recommended clean engine oil.

• If the engine oil is to be replaced it should be changed as per the recommendation.

• To change the engine oil, keep an oil tray below the engine.

• Remove the drain bolt and sealing washer.

• Let the oil drain into the oil tray. It would take some time to drain the whole oil from inside the engine.

• Tilt the vehicle in both sides to ensure the total draining.
