(a) Show that two statements of Second Law of thermodynamics are equivalent to each other.

(b) A house that was heated by electric resistance heater consumed 1200 KWh of electric energy in a winter month. If this house was heated instead by heat pump that has an average COP of 2.4, calculate how much money the home owner would have saved that month. Assume a price of Rs 8.5/KWh for electricity.
