State the term nature of financial instruments.

Nature of financial instruments (securities):

Financial instruments (termed as securities) can be classifies in two broad groups as: debt instruments and equity instruments. Remember that there are also derivative instruments (as like futures, swaps and options) that are financial instruments which derive their value by the value of some other financial variables or instruments. (Though they are not analysed now, they will be developed within later subjects into the programme, as like 92 corporate finance.)
