Third Generation (1963-1972)
The third generation introduced huge gains in computational power. Innovations in this time include use of integrated circuits or ICs (semiconductor devices with many transistors built into single physical component), semiconductor memories use were begun instead of magnetic cores, microprogramming was a technique for efficiently designing difficult processors, the coming of age of pipelining and other forms of simultaneous processing and the introduction of the operating systems and time-sharing.
Explain the Edge-triggered J-K flip-flop? The J-K flip-flop works extremely similar to S-R flip-flop. The merely difference is that this flip-flop has NO invalid state.
